VINCE FERRARA
A native of Tampa, Florida and graduate of the University of South Florida, Vince is as versatile and passionate of a broadcaster as you will find anywhere. In today’s world of broadcasting where there’s no more room for one-trick ponies, Vince has utilized his diverse skills in multiple platforms and roles with tremendous success.
As you’ll see below in his work samples, he’s had success as a Sports Talk Show Host, Play-By-Play Announcer, Sideline Reporter, Update Anchor, Pregame Reporter, Halftime Anchor, Game Studio Host and Sports Interview Reporter.
Currently, Vince is the Morning Show Co-Host at 99.1 The Sports Animal in Knoxville, the highly-rated and listened to flagship station of the Tennessee Volunteers. “SportsTalk with John and Vince is historic for it’s tenure in the state and runs airs 6-9am ET with co-host John Wilkerson. Vince was named the station’s 2017 On-Air Personality of the Year by the cluster’s management team. He holds numerous on-air roles for the Vol Network (U. of Tennessee) including Baseball Play-By-Play Announcer/Color Analyst, Football and Basketball Pregame Reporter and Basketball Halftime Reporter. Vince is the Play-By-Play Announcer for the High School Football Game of the Week on his radio station in Knoxville. He’s also a weekly or frequent guest on numerous TV and radio shows to share his analysis on the Vols.
Vince is a panelist on the highly rated weekly TV show “The Sports Source” on WATE-TV CH. 6 (ABC) in Knoxville. He’s also a frequent guest on radio shows in various markets to share insight on the Vols, SEC, MMA and national sports.
Vince speaks Italian, which was his first language he was taught as a kid. He learned English in school mainly. He’s a proud doodle dog dad of an adorable, angelic mini goldendoodle Daphne..
